The OGD office’s activities and services
- Issues and regularly updates the guidelines for the publication of open government data (OGD guidelines) and acts as a hub for information on OGD
- Assists civil servants and data providers in the process of referencing open data sets on opendata.swiss
- Manages and updates the opendata.swiss platform and handbook
- Facilitates communication between the users and providers of open data
- Encourages (open) data literacy by offering theoretical and practical training in (meta)data management within the public administration and beyond
- Undertakes periodic measurements and audits of the provision of OGD in Switzerland
- Follows and participates in national and international discussions on the development of OGD-related standards and regulations
